My own readings here in Basingstoke show a mean so far of 10.95C.

This is very close to average. Maximums are 0.5C above average and minimums 0.4C below. Very dry. Just 29% of mean rainfall so far.

Could the CET go up in the final third of the month? There does seem a good chance of higher maxes than of late, with milder (cloudier) nights.

Currently I am estimating the CET to finish at 10.20C which is a little below average.

Now I'll be well pleased with that one 10.2C was my CET forecast/guess bang on :-)

In the midlands  we have had a couple of cold nights recently after the rain passed thru on sat pm.

It wasn't forcast be I droped to 1.8C on sunday early hours.

It only takes a couple of hours of clear skies with no wind for the temps to tumble overnight at this time of year.
