As it is only two weeks until Christmas I just thought it could be fun to have a regular look at what the charts are showing in terms of weather and even White Christmas potential.

Quite a seasonal feel for Xmas day

It's already on ECM - can't post the chart but the control last night has a low over Shetland and a secondary low over the Irish Sea. There are SW'lies and SSW'lies over England and Wales with westerlies elsewhere.

850s are below zero for all, with a pulse of sub -5C 850s over western and northern Scotland.

I would say that has been the most frequent option since Christmas Day came into the GFS FI timescale. I wonder if it will still be an option in a week's time!

Not a far from average picture, potentially rather unsettled, less mild than currently and only a small chance of snow. Still time for a change.

Aye, not quite as warm as this week and some places could struggle to see temps get much above 10c on Christmas Day (but as itll be wet & windy, who cares .... )     I am not expecting to see much significant change in the outlook now.

Thats not really fair, it's often cooler and snowier in March, 

GFS on Xmas Day .......10c IMBY is better than what I have .......in fresher terms
