As it is only two weeks until Christmas I just thought it could be fun to have a regular look at what the charts are showing in terms of weather and even White Christmas potential.

Today's offering shows one of the potential outcomes and it is not the first time such a scenario has appeared in the last couple of days: http://modeles.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfs/runs/2015121112/gfs-2-324.png?12

Is it reliable? Certainly not, but it is possible!

Feel free to post any chart that shows Christmas Day (but leave the "December is a write off" stuff to another thread please).

Only a couple of days before we reach ECM and GEM range.

I meant on the "publicly available" charts, but point taken.

And still the GFS op runs are throwing our White Christmas scenarios http://modeles.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfs/runs/2015121300/gfs-2-288.png?0

Seems the snow potential is diminishing by the day

I'll probably post a few charts tomorrow as Christmas Day will be in the ECM and GEM models' publicly available range.

This afternoon will have things in GEM/ECM public output range...but I am not holding my breath for anything too wintry!

Just going for usual weather of mild and wet according to BBC Weather App.

The pickings are getting slimmer by the day. Here are today's offerings http:/modeles.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfs/runs/2015121600/gfs-2-216.png?0

Similar from the ECM http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/ecmwf/runs/2015121600/ECM1-216.GIF?16-12

Not a far from average picture, potentially rather unsettled, less mild than currently and only a small chance of snow. Still time for a change.

Aye, not quite as warm as this week and some places could struggle to see temps get much above 10c on Christmas Day (but as itll be wet & windy, who cares .... )     I am not expecting to see much significant change in the outlook now.

Typically March weather.    Oh well, there is always next year.

Still wondering if Glasgow may be worth a flutter? It only takes one flake. Still looking unlikely further south though.
