Hottest day of the Summer so far. 41.6c currently, it's hairdryer, take your breath away heat. Dew Point is -1c, with the sea breeze just arriving. I am pretty certain the 850's are in the mid 20's today.

Cracking Fohn wind blowing this morning, it's over 15c outside, with 40% humidity.  A good drying day, which we certianly need a few of!.

A fair start to the day with hazy sunshine, thus making for a pleasant enough morning. 11.3 C under a light southerly breeze.

I could forgive this mild set up if we can have mornings like this one more often throughout the winter, but I fear I may be pushing my luck.

Whilst being eternally grateful to miss out on the horrendous conditions further north and also to be saving a fortune on heating bills so far this winter, today was the first time in what feels like months that I have seen blue sky and sunshine.


The sunrise earlier this morning was a joy to behold
