BBC reporting that Tadcaster Bridge has collapsed, and gas main may be ruptured. Very alarming - anyone that knows Tadcaster will know what a important part of the town the bridge is.

This stretch didn't flood in the early to mid 80s, I lived there until 1988. The Foss flooded along Huntington Road closer to York itself but not at the bottom of Mill Hill (where the photo is taken).

Looks like the wettest ever month for NorthWest England and Wales going off the 1873 rainfall regional series and this followed the 2nd wettest November in that series.
