Funny you say that Marcus as I was thinking the same. I could be wrong but my feeling is that Frank has so far been a bit of an anti-climax.

Anyway, just had our first burst of PPN - and boy was it wild!
Serious flooding now in parts of the Highlandshttps://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/scotland/792097/storm-frank-everything-know-thats-happened-far-today/

First bit of rain just arriving, I doubt we'll have much more than 5mm.It has been gusts to 54mph, fairly normal winter stuff.
The wind has not been much to write home about although we've had a lot of rain and still pouring.
Radar shows a good 75mm/3inches of rain over Cumbria. Hope it doesn't cause more flooding.
Surprised to see how bad it is at Ballater. While today is utterly revolting here - it hasn't stopped raining with strong winds -the rainfall hasn't been anything out of the ordinary. 11mm so far.
Storm Frank's passage over Irlam. A really squally short spell before midday
