Horseshoe pass in North East Wales seems to have done alright last night. Expecting more later i suspect.

Showers pepping up over Norn Irn now - anyone up there know what they're falling as? As colder air is now beginning to dig in, I'd hope they'd be a snow.

They're starting to feed into the Irish Sea now, and some forecasts suggest they'll continue to make progress SE'wards into NW England/N Mids/N Wales.

Snow flurries at work in Grenoside for most of the morning and early afternoon before a clearance to sunny spells. Nothing settling but nice to see.

Being snowing in Norfolk and North Suffolk on my way back from work from Norwich. Sleet around Norwich turned to snow South of Wymondham on the A11. Then got heavier towards Thetford. Still snowing all the way from Thetford back to mine near Eye (Suffolk). Couldn't see the snow settling anywhere apart from on some road signs. Very windy as well giving blizzard like conditions where the road was not sheltered from the trees

Some Cheshire Gap showers on the current radar.

+1C/-3C so I'd expect anything to fall as snow here now.

The showers are pushing through Merseyside into Cheshire though so we'll almost certainly miss out I think.

One of those showers from that streamer just past over here as snow, sky has cleared again i think as temp is at 0.2c after rising briefly to 0.5c during the shower.

No reports from Cheshire/Merseyside? Surely somewhere in the NW must have new snow cover looking at the radar.

Somewhere just to the south and west of Manchester could get lucky tonight.

Some weird stuff tonight, it was snowing in Stoke at 9pm when I left for Birmingham, then it dried up. Then as I approached Walsall, it was bucketing down with big flakes. The traffic was awful for the time of night. Then I literally passed a junction on the M5 and it was clear, no lying snow or falling snow. Very localised!

Cheshire Gap doing its thing I see.
