Still below freezing here
Currently -1.6c
Reached 0c here in Exeter!
With many parts of the country sub zero still - it's such a shame that there will be no wintry breakdown! - Remember "Disruptive snow possible?" - Was forecasted?
Different world up here. Min temp last night was +2.7c, currently +4c in both Manchester & Liverpool (according to XC Weather)
We are above freezing at 0.3C last night we got down to -4.3C
14:30 Edit
Got up to 2.3C but temp now dropping again and down to 1.8C
Coldest night of the winter so far in balmy Bournemouth -2.3c and a high of 4c on a sunny crisp day
Frost stayed all day in shaded areas today. Always nice to see!

This "cold" spell has so far given only one night colder than what was achieved last May - Saturday night into Sunday when it went down to -4.2C. Other than that the lowest has been -1.9C which is the same as was recorded on 8th May 2015 Tonight it is overcast and 0.8C and rising. Another opportunity for a proper hard frost wasted. It's worse than pathetic. Just awful. Even with clear skies overnight we are getting the same appallingly low diurnal ranges that we used to get with an easterly (prior to recent years as now it just flatlines all day and night under that direction)
-6.6C out there already!

It's showing -6C (rounded) at Farnborough at 10pm. My thermometer bit the dust a while back so not sure what it is in the garden but it's crystal clear and the frost stayed all day in the shade. But I'm still sat in a T-shirt in the lounge as I've been DIYing all day and worked up a sweat!
Well at least we're getting to see a bit of classic cold continental type weather. The dew point fell off a cliff at around 5 pm (down as low as -8*C when the dry bulb temp was barely below freezing), and the dry bulb temps have since followed though not as dramatically. Down to -5*C and still falling, albeit somewhat erratically.
I see Benson already has -7*C so getting close to last night's impressive minimum (given the lack of lying snow).
I've set the alarm early tomorrow so I can go for a walk in some proper winter temperatures as the sun comes up
Hurn -7 currently.
Coldest temperature at my station since 22/12/2012. -3.6c recorded @4am.
-6.8c last night
Currently -5.5c
No frost again here just bloody cloud.
