I agree about Toure; arguably lucky to be on the pitch still after several very poor challenges.  But Clattenburg is a very good referee overall.

At least Spurs won. It would be at least nice to see a different team win the league rather than the jammy serial bottlers that are Arsenal  Bloody soft red card if you ask me!

I wish the FA would adopt the rugby approach of using a 'sin bin'.  Removing a player for 10-15 minutes would work better, being an immediate disadvantage to that team.  More importantly we'd get away from the '2 Yellows = a Red' situation.  I bet there'd be more sin binning than there have been yellow cards.

And the red card that should have been given for that awful tackle on Ramsey..............swings and roundabouts

I have too been watching the Premier League!  I am well aware of Spurs' bottling abilities, but that's not usually for the title for them, usually just the top 4 or above you guys.

Don't forget Koscielny's dreadful tackle on Kante before the penalty. Could've been a card there if there hadn't been another decision to sort out.

An exciting year at both top and bottom, we (Sunderland) have given ourselves a glimmer of hope and with 3 tough games out of the way the March fixture list is a lot kinder. I was expecting to be much firther adrift after our recent run of games.

Still think that Man City could go 8-10 games without dropping a point and I really can't say the same about the other 3, it could very well go to the last game of the season

I would say Leicester and Tottenham have a better chance than City.........................not sure which M City team you mean because it aint the one I've been watching this season

But unlikely any of the above mentioned will achieve that

My understanding is that Byrne and Short knew Johnson had fessed up to two charges to the old Bill and carried on regardless. I'm not sure of the timeline involved but it is at that point his contract should have been cancelled, if true.

I thought he formally denied all the charges, until pleading guilty to the two lesser charges on the first day of the trial.

However, in statements he did admit to kissing the girl - and Byrne/Short both knew about this.

Johnson was accused by the prosecution of initially pleading not guilty to everything so he could continue to pick up his £60k/week salary, before changing his plea on the first day of the trial.

A grubby episode all round, one where nobody comes out of with any credit.

That's the point isn't it, if he has continually denied it behind the scenes then fine...innocent until proven guilty and all that...but it appears that he first confessed to Byrne on 14th May 2015 and she did nothing with the information.

As you rightly say, nobody getting any credit but at the very least she will have to leave her post at the club but should she not be looking at failing to inform the police of a crime?

The one i watched for the first 55 minutes of their champions league tie last night would win a very poor premier league by some way. I agree they have performed poorly over the first 6 months of the season, but to have done so and only be 6 points off the top reinforces what I have said.

Of all those at the top, the only one that could (albeit unlikely) win 10 of their last 12 games is City for me. I hope they don't as I would happily see Leicester or Spurs win it but my money is on City

It was my understanding that it was the police who told Byrne about the kiss, as Johnson had admitted this in his statements.
