That's what I said at 9am this morning.. 

There was a hint of sleet and soft hail recently in a shower at Kings Hill near Maidstone, 110m asl. Getting excited now. 

Nearly as dark as night here..soft hail shower and gusty winds. 4c

And yet 30 miles to the northeast, it's rain and 6.1C here!

well if it helps the wet snow / sleet lasted all of two minutes !  

Sleet and hail has turned to light snow here at work (Ashford) at about 100m ASL

I can now declare that winter is officially here at Folkestone with me seeing some observable snowflakes flitting down (not soft hail or sleety rain). This came about after a short spell of gusty blustery rain and hail.

Yep, Spring has begun.  

After a completely flakeless winter here in the flatlands, on the second day of spring I how have moderate sleet/wet snow falling.

Laughable really.

Stopped as quickly as it started. Although lost 3c since the first post and still dropping.

Now 4C off the high of 6.2c and big fat wet snowflakes falling.

i was hoping to see a little snow here as well Saint but the sun came out this afternoon and we touched 7c.

a few rain showers about- the sky looks angry both to the north and south but we have blue sky above.

Hail shower, gusty winds.

Had a couple of hail showers around 10am accompanied with a bright flash of lightning and a very loud crack of thunder, the rest has been light rain showers. The temperature is now falling and 4.8C at present from 7.2C at 14:30.
