While conditions here a few miles south of Snowhoper are much the same as at his, I've just driven the MiL on a circular mid-Suffolk route to the west. For parts of that time, it was snowing (briefly), hailing (I drove around half a mile over a couple of cms of hailstones), raining and sleeting. In the biggest hailstorm, the temperature dipped from 6C to 2C. The lying hail looked quite picturesque but the din in the car was a bit worrying.
