Mostly sunny with broken cloud, there was a touch of frost as temperatures fell down to 1.9 C at 6.45 am but a brisk north west breeze had prevented the frost from taking too much of a hold.

It's 2.7°C and sunny with nearly all surfaces in the sun totally dry and most of the surfaces in the shade still snow covered. It is quite funny to see alternating adjacent stretches of pavement dry and then white. It feels nice in the shelter and freezing in the breeze with snow showers in the vicinity to the north.

Spring, you gotta love it!

While conditions here a few miles south of Snowhoper are much the same as at his, I've just driven the MiL on a circular mid-Suffolk route to the west.  For parts of that time, it was snowing (briefly), hailing (I drove around half a mile over a couple of cms of hailstones), raining and sleeting. In the biggest hailstorm, the temperature dipped from 6C to 2C. The lying hail looked quite picturesque but the din in the car was a bit worrying.
