Bad news for some but good news for others, I have the cet climbing to 5.9 and finishing around about this figure.
Edging up slowly here with slightly milder temps the last few days, still only 4.1C (-1.2C) though, I think it will stay below average.
Met Office Hadley 5.2c. Anomaly -0.2c. Provisional to 20th.
Metcheck 4.95c. Anomaly -1.21c.

So unless something very unexpected happens, March could end up in the mid-high fives. Not too bad a guess if so.

There could be some chilly nights from the 26th through to the end of March which could thwart the cet's rise. 5.6-5.8 looks quite likely, which would be right about the 61-90 average and 20th century average.

The cet area seems to be one of the coolest areas in Britain this month which is quite unusual. High pressure seemed to rest just far enough north to bring them cool easterlies mid month! The cet could quite easily have been in the 6's with little change in the positioning.
This March has been quite a miserable month in my part of the country. A big disappointment really.
Recon April will not go high!!!!!!...
