It looks perfect for a grass-mat and a bottle of Thatchers cider Ian. I want to sit on your lawn!

Those who know me well in here will understand how I take pride in it as there is still the former council landscape worker in me.
However, because my house sits on an embankment made from bombed down slum dwellings all piled up and then topsoil compacted on top, any rain water that does go onto the lawn is quickly drained out and it only takes a fortnight of dry weather to make it go parched looking - even in an ordinary summer - and the salty sea air doesn't really help much. But grass is such a resilient thing that it will always green up again and the past couple of years has been good to the lawn due to regular bouts of rainfall and sunshine and I seldom experience proper hard frosts in the winter due to the close proximity of the sea.
You can tell I lead a rather sheltered life as I get excited over watching grass grow. Still miles better than watching football, though. Anyway, it's still quite clear as I type this after today had turned out much sunnier than I forecast.
