Mostly fine and sunny at the moment, although I haven't seen a frost upon awakening at 7 am, there is still that pinch in the air at 7 C currently where I gave the thermostat a bit of a fettle to get rid of the chill indoors. But we don't seem to be doing too badly in terms of sunshine amounts in what is being a spell of changeable weather as a whole.

EDIT: The obligatory daytime cumulus is slowly filling in the sky, but it is per my forecast so it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise.

Turning out to be a fine and bright Spring day with plenty of sunshine as most of the cloudy stuff stayed over them thar hills. I worked up quite a sweat when I did some work in the front garden earlier on today.

My lawn looking resplendent . . .

Currently 11.6 C but I do appreciate the freshness it's bringing into my house as I have some windows ajar.

However, because my house sits on an embankment made from bombed down slum dwellings all piled up and then topsoil compacted on top, any rain water that does go onto the lawn is quickly drained out and it only takes a fortnight of dry weather to make it go parched looking - even in an ordinary summer - and the salty sea air doesn't really help much. But grass is such a resilient thing that it will always green up again and the past couple of years has been good to the lawn due to regular bouts of rainfall and sunshine and I seldom experience proper hard frosts in the winter due to the close proximity of the sea.

You can tell I lead a rather sheltered life as I get excited over watching grass grow. Still miles better than watching football, though. Anyway, it's still quite clear as I type this after today had turned out much sunnier than I forecast.
