Heavy hail the snow shower when I was on the M60 an hour ago. Motorway was covered at J24 with the tiny balls of hail.

Weird in Manchester this morning.

No snow lying in Didsbury at all but a slight dusting as you get towards the City Centre (Cornbrook/Castlefield) area. Rarely happens that way round!

Just shows the fickle nature of showers I guess.

I've seen more snow in March and April this year then I've seen since December 2010. A remarkable feat around these parts and just shows how weird weather can be.

I rat-run through Ordsall (doors locked!) on my commute into work, and from around the Regent Road roundabout to Castlefield, there was a covering on cars, grass and roofs (sloping roofs - so snow, not hail). City Centre itself was clear. Very localised recent heavy snow show I presume - the odd thing was that the sky was clear of any PPN-bearing clouds.

Had over an inch of snow this morning but the current rain took care of the last few patches, still we've got a warning for heavy snow in the early hours.

There was a very heavy frost this morning but I don't think it was snow.. could be wrong though. I was half asleep.

Been snow and sleet showers here since Monday though not settling. Tonight steady snow has set in with big flakes beginning to lie despite the wet ground.

Plenty of hail showers over the last few days but no snow here really - the shower that has just passed over was very wintry though so it could be quite an interesting evening further inland.

Wintry showers here, the latest one had some brief moderate wet snow. Teetering on that knife edge of rain/snow, just like in Winter with a PM feed in off the Irish sea .. temp. at +1.7C, RH at 87% and this equates to a dew point of around -0.2 C
