Hi Sriram- I don't have one but did, before I switched to a digi station some years ago. They were the definitive apparatus leading to data and records which are still counted as valid, so yes- it's worth getting one. The exposure (ie conditions in the garden) is more likely to exaggerate or dampen the readings, depending on the size & structure of your garden, but don't let any technophile tell you it's obsolete- that would give us a few decades of national weather data that could be called reliable!
Schools being closed/ rebuilt/ revamped are good places from which to scrounge one- as I did, as these lagging establishments turn increasingly digital.
Also, it's quite a nice-looking feature with a bit of positive stigma, - like an obelisk, windmill or an OS bench mark on your land.
Good memories of the adrenalin as I opened the front slatted door and couldn't wait to read the apparatus within.
