31.1C now and still rising.
Nearing 30*C here for the second time this year - but satellite and radar imagery shows some thunderstorm clusters inbound!
When that interacts with the land at peak heating time... things could get pretty feisty in these parts. The path of action looks to be centred along a line running NE from Bournemouth.
Sea breeze has been overpowered by upper air and French imported heat. Now 30.0 here on the coast
Swelteringly hot here today, the hottest day of 2016 at 31.4c
Feels very oppressive and could see a big thunderstorm soon as the sky is turning an angry grey.
Very warm 25c with unbroken sunshine and a nice breeze.
So not unpleasant.
Predictive radar on the Met Office App suggests that the easterly stuff over Cherbourg now won't survive the crossing, but it's hammer-blow hot out there right now when you step outside in Central London.33 or 34c? Still about 30 minutes or more of heating left.
edit: Nah. High level castellanus creeping in now. London will peak at 33 and a bit I think. Maybe a 34 further east but for now, that's all folks. Now to see how much of this heat hangs on in our corner through the weekend.
Officially the hottest day of the year. Cavendish Suffolk 33.8c
27C yesterday, 30C today. Warm night last night (17).

A max of 24.4C today, down to 21C now and completely overcast.
Two separate skeins of geese flew over this morning, heading South. Do they know something we don`t?
Hottest day of the year today with an incredible late afternoon rally to give a maximum temperature of 31.5c at 17.04hrs.
The previous record set on 19th July was 31.3c.
Gravesend-Broadness reporting 33.8C at 1800.

Gravesend peaked at 33.9C
I just managed 30C with a maximum of 30.1C
Perhaps quite unusual to have the hottest day of the year this late?

I maxed at 33.2c in the end. Cavendish isn't too far away so I'm pleased with that reading..
