Thanks for the heads-up on the signals for winter 2016-17. I found that very interesting and informative.

This was a really marathon session (nearly 39 mins !) today and only 1 water station stop

I was interested in the 3 main connections you went for (SST distribution, ENSO and Sunspot numbers) and wondered with all the info that's out there whether it is possible to find analogues from past data where all 3 are (roughly) matching the 2016 values

Hi Lanky, Not sure if it would be possible but I can ask my "analogue expert" James and see what he can come up with! That might be more towards the later updates when we start to run out of things to talk about.
