I’ll be off on my travels soon and won’t have internet for a couple of weeks but I’ll be thinking about you.  We fly to the Dominican Republic in the morning but we’re driving up to Manchester shortly and staying in an airport hotel tonight.

You won’t be alone on here though because there are others who will post regularly and will want to hear from you.  I expect there to be several more pages when I get back and hopefully some better news for you to post. 

Good luck with your next week’s visit to the consultant.  Keep that chin up.   X

As you can see I have had a bit of a break from posting because there is nothing really to report. I will monitor the thread, and try to reply, but may not post until something changes, or have a hospital visit.

Good to see you posting. Still not sure about this being awake in the middle of the night.   

When I'm feeling ill and have lost my appetite sometimes it's like trying to eat cardboard.  I guess it might be similar for you.  Just try to find something that appeals.  

Have you dropped the idea of a cat or are you still thinking about it?

Over the last couple of days there has been a down turn in my general well being I am afraid.

 I have had a lot of pain in my back and lower chest, coupled with a return of vomiting. I'll see what the consultant makes of this on Monday, which is my next appointment.

Not nice news Dougie. Hope the cause is dealt with on Monday. Maybe spine related. have a good rest over the weekend. Keep the mind occupied with other thoughts. We are here for you.

I hope you can get some decent rest or feel a bit more comfortable Dougie. Make sure that the doctor is fully aware on Monday of your symptoms so you can get as much relief as possible and help you feel a bit better. We’re still here for you even if it doesn’t help your symptoms.

So sorry to hear this news, Dougie...although I've never met you as far as I am aware, I sort of feel that somehow I know you! thank you so much for being honest and sharing ...utterly utterly inspirational!
