You can be also sure that Auntie Caz is sending prayers or vibes or goodwill to you like the rest of us ,Dougie

Hang on in there, or else there will be trouble when she gets back.

Hi Dougie,

Sorry to hear things are so grim at the moment. Hopefully Monday's appointment will provide some relief for your symptoms.

Thinking of you as always my friend.

Really sorry and disappointed to read your news Dougie.

If I were you I wouldn't be living with this over the weekend. If you're not right call your GP or the hospital: you shouldn't be dealing with this alone.

Hope you get through the weekend OK.

Sounds like you got another battle on your hands. It must seem relentless for you and I can only imagine how awful you feel. Get some rest and maybe you will be able to get some more help from the consultant. Thinking of you xx

Hi Dougie, just checking in on the off-chance that you might have found the time and energy to update us.

I hope the consultant was able to help today.

I guess you could be in hospital still for further tests.  Let us know how you are if you get a chance.

Best wishes

Thanks for all the kind posts guy's, it really does mean a lot to me.

The hospital visit went as expected, with the emphasis transferring from treating the cancer to one of trying to make me more comfortable. There has been a slight adjustment in my medication to try to get me to eat. This has become a major problem, as I have lost a further 5 kilos since my last visit. Drinking is also a problem as it takes me a couple of hours just to finish a glass of water.

Life right now is a miserable experience, and for the first time I am thinking the fight is just not worth it. Sorry for the lack of posts, but it really does require a lot of effort to do so. I will post again when I can.

I guess you’ve abandoned the idea of a cat now?

I'm shocked to hear that things have deteriorated so much since I last clocked in Dougie, and I feel bad about it. Hope seems such a throw-away word sometimes but I do have hope for you. Please keep scrapping- you be in charge here. I do think of you every day, as is true for everyone here.

Dougie, so so sorry to hear this news...I do hope that the MacMillan Nurses and doctors are offering you the support you need and as appropriate maybe suggesting the possibility of hospice care for you? If it is just too much for you to bear at home on your home, hospices offer a wonderful alternative..they really are special places, not to be feared but places of peace and comfort....but also very aware that places are often hard to find..

Awww Dougie it doesn't sound good. I hope you can get some support and at least make things comfortable for you. You aren't alone and if we could all hug you right now we surely would. Caz is always the one with the wise words here but I'm sending love your way and willing you to carry on the fight xx

Hey, Dougie! With Caz away at the moment it gives the rest of us bandits a chance to sneak in!  I realise one-handed posting isn't that much fun, but if you can, let us know how things feel today.
