Just shows how many people have unrealistic expectations from easterlies. They are so rare nowadays that people seem to believe they can cover the country with snow, when of course they have only ever really been east coast events.

I looked at the webcam in London saw no snow too! - I thought there was the potential for 5-10cm's?

The nearest I'll get it seems on a chilly if sunny and unremarkable late winter's day:

All very meh here so far. Had a light covering overnight, but even weak sunshine through the clouds has worked its magic and melted all snow in its sights. The temp has also shot up to 3C recently which is pretty nice in the sunshine.  Tonight will probably be disappointing as well.

And to get it all off my chest, Wednesday looks dry and cold (wasted) and I bet the Thurs / Fri system gives us rain here!

That feels better.

The Sun made mincemeat out of the snow today. Drove to work in a blizzard and thought it was game on. Must have had 1 to 2 inches at its peak. Main roads covered and 30mph was the top speed for all. Numerous accidents making a 15 min journey take 1hr 20. Then the poxy sun came out. Despite the uppers today ended up warmer than yesterday. At one point my van said 7C.  It never felt cold and most of the snow has gone apart from favoured shady locations. Unless a very large rabbit is pulled out of the bag then this one will end up filed with the rest of the modern day disappointments.

Well there is a yellow weather warning issued by the Met office but all area's to the west of Exeter by a few miles! If this isn't classed as a mis-hap then what is!?

Even Taunton saw a few flakes of snow today! But it's the 3rd day of this feast from the east giving east Devon such sunny days and with no frost and ice at nights along with light winds it feels like spring along the Quay!

As said earlier - Exeter keeps it's snow drought!

Can't believe it looking at below!

Have to say IMBY wholly unremarkable spell so far, a few flurries and temps 1-2C, mostly pleasant spring sunshine. Hardly a beast.

The Chichester, along with the Worthing and Portsmouth Snow shields in Full force Today...We are too far west for Snow from the east and too Far East for Snow from the west, and perfectly inline for an hour or two of snow on Friday from the south followed by a sleet and slush and muck...powder snow for here? Dream on...🤬🤬It would appear that it would take some really exceptional Synoptics to get that here...

Still not working ? I have notice that this works perfectly well when there are no snow showers but when there are snow showers around it seems to crash - maybe site traffic?

One heavy snow shower in the afternoon and that's it. Dried up completely and the humidity is down at 70%. Radar not promising at all. If it was rain it would be near relentless in this set-up

I would bet that the amount of snow I measure tomorrow morning will be closer to 2cm than 20cm or even 10cm. Temperature not even dropping because of the wind/cloud. Absolutely hopeless and woeful cold spell

The hysteria from Siberia has delivered nothing more than a 10 minute shower to London today. Damp pavements this evening.

The cold spell here has been almost exactly as forecast. Let’s hope it continues to be (based on the fact that the charts and forecasts show all the exciting stuff here from tonight into Thursday, and always have). Even the lull in showers for the next couple of hours is modelled and in many of the automated forecasts.

I really dont get all the moaning in here. Isnt this what all coldies have been praying for for years, the siberian express has arrived and still its not good enough. This is about as cold and snowy as it could possibly be at this time of year in the current set up plus if this set up persists for the whole of march we could see one of the coldest March`s in the whole of the cet series a sub 2c month is not out of the question! If this doesnt get you excited then maybe emigrate, this is the uk with a temperate maratime climate NOT  a continental interior climate. Stop moaning and enjoy it while it lasts,it could be years or even a decade or more before this happens again!

Few snow showers today. The most interesting thing was to see the sun return at about 4pm after a shower and still have enough oomph to start melting the snow.
