I know the media hysteria makes this spell sound like the entire country is under 10 foot of snow, but there are many people suffering. Suffering from a cruel lack of snow. I think in these unforgiving dry days, us deprived folk need to group together to offer support to each other to help us through these difficult times.
Like me, you will have embarked on this journey full of naïve optimism that the weather gods would be benign and bless you with a few inches of the glorious white stuff at least. After all, with multiple angles of attack being modelled, only the unluckiest of the unlucky would miss out on the fun. And yet here we are, the unluckiest of the unlucky, having had to survive on a meagre couple of centimetres that largely melted or blew away anyway - or, in the most tragic cases, no lying snow at all.
We've had to endure the heartless footage of deep snow as the media machine went into full Express-style frenzy, as we gazed out dolefully onto bare tarmac and barely-dusted grass.
So this is our thread. A place we can share stories of our misfortune and give comfort to each other.
Let us know your tale of woe and your location.
