Scorching hot here (by Thanet on Ice standards), we've finally broken the 20C barrier, first time since last Sunday

The chavs don't know what to do with themselves - it's too hot to run....from the shopkeepers/old ladies who's handbags have been snatched.

Their single can of Tennant's, that they've been cluthing in one hand while being pulled along by the pit bull in the other, is too warm to have more than the half they can normally manage in a morning without throwing up.

Dodgy Del the dopey Druggy, has fallen asleep in the morning 'heat' (and his own piss), so there's no one nearby to score from.

On top of that, Toni the tubby tattooist's ink has run, meaning the chavettes can't get their eyeballs tattooed as planned.

Hoodies have got so warm, they've taken to given the straw inside their heads a cooling by moving the hood back a few inches - not so far as to not be a bruv in the hood tho still innit.

They can't even all go and **** up the beach...it's too crowded with Easter Europeans.

Other than that, it's rather peasant....I mean pleasant round here...

Beachgoers coming down to these parts hoping for blazing unbroken sunshine and unending heat are going to end up feeling disappointed as they get covered with goosepimples rather than sun lotion.

I'm only here temporarily - unfortunately, circumstances dictate for now, choice doesn't. I'm off round the world for 2 years, as soon as I've got my affiars sorted here.

The cloud magnet has been activated here. Will we ever get a sunny day, or even a sunny morning, without cloud bubbling up? Getting a tad annoying tbh. :-\

As well as Hurn, Heathrow and Coventry APs were also reporting 28c in the 1050z Metars - I think a fairly widespread 30c+ is on the cards today

Phwoar!

Today it has finally hit me that, what with the current conditions and model output, we're looking down the barrel of one of those super-ridge scenarios that we've seen bringing exceptionally high summer temperatures to areas such as Russia in 2010, the U.S. on several recent years... it seems to be a frequent feature of the N. Hemisphere pattern these days.

Seeing a few clouds outside here too. What with the temperature being above 28°C as of 12:30, I can't say I'm all that bothered by them provided they don't swell up too much

It reminds me of the summer equivalent of those cold spells we get in winter which just run and run. There's no quick way out of this by the looks of it...
