I really don't get what's going on with the charts these days... google is letting me down!

I've had a strangely hectic couple of days and there are many more to come, hopefully I can squeeze in some time for the December and 2013 results...!

What about the January Prediction Game? Well... with exams looming I feel I really need a break from running this, but I'm hoping to start up the 2014 game in February - though one of you may have to remind me in the final week of this month

It's been a very entertaining competition to run, hence my determination to get it going again before too long

The December 2013 Prediction Game Chart

Wohoo I can see this one!  ...but just in case some of you can't, I've put a link to the image in at the top.

Another win for Gooner this month - he seems to have had a fine end to 2013 on here! Very well done to him and to our other podium finishers, and a big thankyou to everyone who has taken part in The Fun Prediction Game 2013, especially those who've not missed a month or only dropped one or two

Now for the annual result - and you're not going to believe this...

The Fun Prediction Game 2013 Final Results!

After a full 12 months, the battle for first place is tied!

Now here's the funny part (well for me it is) - if it wasn't for his many late entries, he'd have won the game by 9 points!

...sorry Rob. Good game and all that

It's interesting to look at the average score stats, which allows for a direct comparison between those who've entered in all months and those who missed between 1 and 3 months. It's not a 100% representation of the reality, due to varied numbers of entrants and some months being trickier beasts than others, but it's reasonable as all months had the same number of categories.

Once again, thankyou everyone for your input and participation  I'm still looking to bring the 2014 Game into action for February, though somebody might need to give me a bit of a nudge at some point nearer the time

Thanks SC.

I can see the chart too! Congratulations. A tie, who would have thought after so many guesses.
The lesson of 2013 is to be more punctual. At least we'll keep Caz quiet for a little while.
I hope your exams go well, and I look forward to the next competition, when ever that may be.

I am hopeful for some more free time soon, and I hope life serves you a reasonable amount of that too - sometimes it asks and asks without giving much pause for rest!

I've got a trip to the Met Office next Wednesday, and you know what, it looks like a bit of a washout

What times your trip? I should be in work that day. Might get chance to say hello.

Getting to Exeter from Reading will probably take a number of hours so really it'll probably end up being half a day at the Met Office, during the afternoon of the 15th.

Let me know what to look out for - I'm guessing not actually a snowman

Thank you so much SC.  It's a great competition and a pleasure to be involved with.  Congrats to you and Rob, you're both getting too good at this whereas I seem to have run out of lucky guesses.

Enjoy your met office visit and hopefully we'll see you all in a Feb comp.
