A cold windy day on the decks of Britannia! Max Edinburgh temperature was 4 C. Snowcover visible on the Pentland, Ochil and the Lomond Hills. A bright or sunny day with wintry showers moving NE to the north.

About half an hour ago - light rain - but got a clap of thunder.

I've not heard thunder in December for years and years.

Out on the work's Xmas do tonight. Got the train home. Stepped off said train, nearly went A-over-T on a patch of ice. Speaking to a client in Liverpool around 3pm, they said it was threatening to snow. Dunno whether it did, but round here any wet ground has frozen. Temp at Manc Airport is reading 1c at the mo.
