Well we had another dry Christmas Day here. It's something I have mentioned in the past that it's been a long time since we had a really wet Christmas Day in this neck of the woods.

Saw some rain during the Christmases of 1997 and 1998 but they were not washout days. The last really wet Christmas Day was 1990. The three Christmas Days before this were pretty dry affairs.

1991-92 were dry
1993 saw sleet and wet snow in the morning and a dry afternoon
1994 saw some rain but it wasn't much and cleared through
1995-1996 were dry
1999 saw a few wintry showers
2000-2001 were largely dry with 2000 seeing odd snow flurries
2002 saw a little bit of rain
2003 was largely dry
2004 saw snow showers
2005-2008 were dry with a wet Christmas Eve 2007
2009 saw a little bit of rain at night
2010-11 were dry
2012 saw some showers
2013 was dry

Other locations I'm sure will have different stats.

In recent years the nearby Winchester station had a wet one with over 10mm in 2007 but since then it was virtually dry until last year when over 6mm fell and again yeaterday when another 5mm fell
