My concern is that as the wind is due to veer into as a north east in the next 24 hours, it may cause low cloud or/and sea mist to start rolling in from the North Sea later on and then end up getting stuck in the same kind of pattern as this time last year (north east or easterly winds lasting for days spoiling temperatures and sunshine, although I think the SSTs at the North Sea is higher than this time last year and there are no "cold spots" around the Strait Of Dover).
Still, it would still be better than getting blasted by severe gale force southerly winds. and I have to remind myself that it is still "only April".
Hi' Ian! I can't get this quote editing right! You're supposed to be in the box!
Feeling warm here now as the temperature has climbed to 14.8C and that breeze has dropped to light N to NW. Just 2/8 cu now so good sunny spells The opposite over here as regards NE'ly winds - they should be drier and a little warmer as they come down from the nearby hills. Yeah, not a bad April day really! Glad to see the back of those southerly gales, tho' they were handy in producing some free firewood!
