Has been more of a "gloom" event in liverpool today rather than a massively wet one, though it is raining currently.
Its felt like about 5:30pm all day, with the cloud.
Just light rain or drizzle and gloomy, 4mms so far......
Raining.. Another hour ...Another millimetre....

Heavy persistent rain from three pm. Up to thirty one mm now.
Rain stoking up, 25.4mm today and 14.0mm yesterday.
18:20 BST: Luton airport reporting rain with a cumulonimbus overcast at just 200ft! Very close to the centre of the low pressure area.
Just a few mm so far from this event up here
18.4mm here today. Pretty horrendous but at least the wind has eased off.
The most unpleasant day we've had for ages - February I'd guess. 28mm up here on the moor, rain all day and cold enough to make it not fun at all to be out in.
Heavier rain moving in from the east here now.
8.8mm last night. 37.6mm since midnight.
Englefield Green, Surrey
The area just north of London seems to have been stuck under a core of heavy rain just rotating around overhead for 3-4 hours now. Must be some very large totals there!
A comparatively minuscule 14.2 mm from the event here. Standard sort of rain total for a slow moving rain system in October.
I brought my brolly to work in the expectation it'd be raining here by now. It's not; it's bone dry here - despite RainToday suggesting otherwise.

23mm here since this system arrived on Sunday evening. Still raining steadily.
