As a farmer I am wondering just what effect the cold area in the north atlantic will have on our growing season?

Is it just a transient feature perhaps part of the AMO  or is it something more permanent as the artic ice carries on melting.

MetWeatherUKnet  have a video on "Facebook"      Summers cooler and Drier. Winters they are still uncertain about.  The video is from 9th October 15:29  by John Hammond.

Interesting article on Nature.com concerning possible climatic consequences if the AMO does go into a negative phase over the next number of years.
