Power has just been restored here in rural Oxfordshire after an hour's cut. Wind has eased but was wild. Somebody across the road's bin blew over...

Thanks to my new digital aids, I can now actually hear the gale force westerly wind whistling over my house, but at least it's dry and clear so we haven't got to be dealing with flooding issues for now.

Drove down the M6 tonight at 9pm, lots of roadwork signs and cones moving around or blown over. Quite tricky conditions with being blown all over the road, my drive coincided with the peak winds I believe.

The shopping centre sign at Fort Park has fallen in Birmingham and a lampost fell on the M6 blocking it as well, so some minor damage around.

Due to the pace of the system I don't think there are too many issues to contend with.

Had a lively drive onto Anglesey earlier and now in Holyhead. Car swerving around a bit and some light debris around. Nothing worse than a bit of RFD so felt quite at home 😉

Wasn't too bad here, a few strong gusts but the trees with a fair amount of leaves still clinging on are making it sound worse than it is I think

Height of Barney over Irlam. If you look in the bottom right hand corner at about 0.45 into the timelapse, you can see a neighbour's trampoline go over in the squall

Squally for a while. but nothing particularly out of the ordinary. On the commute this morning, there was a lot of small branches strewn around on the roads and I saw a couple of blown-over fence panels. That sign in Birmingham looks spectacular, though!!
