Just done a tot up and I've recorded 108.1 mm of rain in June here at Folkestone harbour, that's twice the average value for this month. Slightly moist, seems that the rain deflector hadn't been working that well.
However, because it all came in bits and pieces (prolonged drizzle and short convective bursts) there were very little flooding issues anyway, but I think it's going to be quite a while before we can think about water restrictions.

Final total = 156.2mm .. just a tad above the 67mm average!! June 2012 saw 148mm here.

Most of the rainfall here was convective in nature and this is reflected in the 6 thunder-days recorded - there were only 5 thunder days for the whole of last year here! Certainly a case of extremes .. keeps my interest in the weather

59mm here, the last three days had about 25mm or it would have been less than 50% of the mean (78mm)

This is because while inland areas further south were getting convection showers we had day after day of 12C and sea fog with wind off the North Sea.

Yet another disgusting, ridiculously wet summer month for the NE. 111.2mm here which is over twice the average and 149.6mm at Aboyne - nearly three times the average.

This is the third ridiculous total inside a year following on from 130.4mm last July and 161.8mm in January. April was close to twice the average as well with 96.2mm. 12-month rain total stands at 922.4mm - almost 200mm in excess of average
