Total now at 86.4mm. ESTOFEX have much of England and Wales under a level 1 warning for the potential of localised very heavy convective rainfall - due to 'moist vertical profiles' . The wettest June I've seen here, so far, since 2012 - when 148mm fell. 100mm is certainly possible here this month - much depends on just where the strongest convection will initiate - we've missed the worst of it inmby over the last few days ...

Despite our almost endless chilly drizzle and gloom it has been dry here with 17mm so far.
This illustrates the convective nature of most of the rain elsewhere.
