Hope the mods and GW don't mind me starting this, but seeing as tomorrow is August 1st and GW hasn't started a thread yet it will give members time to post their guess before the deadline

Some basic stats for the month

1981-2010 average 16.4

2015 mean 15.9

1961-1990 average 15.8

My guess is 16.5c

PS If GW wishes to start a proper thread then please do so and this thread can be merged with that

Hmmm. The last 2 months have been cold, wet and sunless ( ) but have still come in at ~1c above ave CET .....

But I think I will hedge my bets and just go for ~0.5c above
