Apparently reducing the fever with paracetamol or similar is not a wise move as the fever slows down the virus while you get to work on it (not just this one).
Some studies suggest a daily dose of Vitamin D in countries with limited sunshine can reduce respiratory infection severity by up to 50%.
This is possibly a contributory factor in the seasonal decline of colds and flu.

Yep F increasingly body temperature makes it harder for the bacteria and viruses that cause infections to survive.

Hence human body is no fool with fever response.

Also have been using a sad light it does imo make me feel a little better.

That's a small normal dose in advance not take a double dose if you feel something starting.
Making more effort to be in sun will help too of course.

A couple of relevant points having had a chat to my contact this evening:

1. The "Two strains" issue - not something to be relied upon in relation to aggressive/non-aggressive nature, and where those strains are present
2. The numbers being talked about on NHS provision: 5,000 ICU beds have been talked about and the capacity to accommodate this nationally. First - it's not as simple as looking at the number of ICU beds - any ICU hosting a Covid-19 patient will immediately be unable to host any other "normal" ICU patient. Many "normal" ICU patients will be extremely susceptible to such infection, so separate ICU units will need to be created.
3. Transfer to wards after ICU also similarly complicated - "normal" patients also prone to infection due to immuno-issues.
4. It's not the beds and equipment, it will be the number of staff required to maintain the care.

If only we could build new hospitals in a matter of weeks like a command economy. Where's Nick fluffing Knowles when you need him.

They want to separate CV and non-CV patients and medical staff as much as they possibly can.

They are also placing portakabins at all hospitals, for pre-admission checks to see whether someone is presenting with CV or not. How they keep the patients apart in those whilst they are checking, I don't know.

P.S. The other thing he said was that it was very unfortunate indeed that the Italian outbreak co-incided with half term for most European countries - guaranteed spread as people went skiing in northern Italy.

Yes Ben I lost a son 10 years ago and I made the point about icu or picu patents and hoping many like RB GOSH would really now have tight and renewed  procedures  I was hoping that maybe  self testing stripe before even entering and then only immediate family like mum and dad would be allowed in.

Maybe we could use the expected closed schools for much need treatment places like school halls, classrooms with maybe staff of experience in medical matters to utilise the space and experience  much of the icu is transferable perhaps it’s more about the numbers of equipment.
