This is the FT estimate of the daily number of all deaths linked to CV19 and as they keep saying, it's more likely to be an underestimate.

Perspective of a sort...

Coronavirus deaths in London hit Blitz levels

The number of people killed by coronavirus in London in the four weeks to 17 April has narrowly surpassed the number of civilians killed during the worst four-week period of aerial bombing of the city during the Blitz in World War Two.

Interesting. If this is done properly it will have a huge impact.

New world order coming.

The Chinese Communist Party is threatening a boycott of imports of Australian wine and beef if the country pushes ahead with an inquiry into the origins of the coronavirus pandemic. Australia’s proposed inquiry was proposed by Scott Morrison’s Liberal Party Government and is supported by the Labor Party opposition.

When interviewed in The Australian Financial Review, the Chinese Ambassador to Australia “refused to accept that the virus had started in a Wuhan wet market”, called Australia’s push for an inquiry into it “dangerous”, and claimed that “the Chinese public is frustrated, dismayed and disappointed with what Australia is doing now”. The Communist ambassador went on to threaten consumer boycotts and less tourism for Australia. If the Chinese Government is confident they are not to blame, then why are they so afraid of an inquiry?..

I'm sorry if you feel the govt should not be held to account. Perhaps you should move to NK or Russia?

He's not responsible for the outcome; that's down to poor policy choices by the government back in February and early March.

Please don't respond with your usual crass stupidity about me supporting or defending the government when it should be obvious, even to you, that I'm not.

The Chinese ambassador to the UK was interviewed today and there was the usual obfuscation; it was embarrassing to watch.

They're playing a dangerous game on several levels. Firstly their unsubtle bullying and threats show the regime in its true light. Secondly, they gain hugely from international trade and boycotts could backfire.

Of course they could threaten to ban imports of Australian coal and raw materials. I have no idea why that's not on their agenda...... πŸ€” πŸ˜‰

There was an article in The Times either today or yesterday (can't immediately find it) saying that Chinese money is propping up an increasing number of public schools in the UK. It's another example of the dependencies which exist. Unravelling them IMO will be very hard and isn't likely to happen much.
