I take it the CET was mostly down to very mild nights, rather than particularly warm days? Yes, there was a few very warm days in there definitely, but again, it's another month that didn't really feel like it deserved such a figure. I'd imagine months like May 2018 and 2020 will be remembered much more fondly than 2024, and they had CETs nearly a degree lower, more so in the case of 2020.

Whilst I only had 9 days of 20C or more (actually, that stands up well against the better Mays) the majority of other days were in the 17-19 category. So max temps delivered as well here.

Looks like 14.1c is the final result warmest for over 190 years 2nd warmest ever! Remarkable and I doubt many of the public would believe it.

And I must admit it has often felt chilly to me. I only finally turned off the underfloor heating on Saturday when I realised it was June!

As I said before: if we ever get some real cold weather in this country people won't know what hit them.

Well we did have the beast from the east which wasn't all that many years ago and that was pretty much unprecedented for the time of year.

Hi all. I will get the results for May and Junes predictions posted ASAP. Been very unwell again with migraines and a very heavy workload hasn’t helped.
