Clear and sunny here, too, and a bit warmer: 13.7, dew 12.8. The low last night was 11.9 and the high yesterday was 21.4.
It should be a fair bit above that today.
(And having been out for a quick walk just now, it feels lovely and fresh... it's the best time to be outdoors in the summer, IMO, before everyone else!)

After a rather damp start to today here in Edinburgh, it's now brightened up quite nicely and the Sun is even shining here now.

In addition to that, we've also lost those cool winds from yesterday, so it should feel a bit better outdoors as well.

Currently around 13°C here in Edinburgh but today is forecast to be warmer than yesterday and looks like being a day which I am unlikely to have any complaints about.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Well I'm going to stop going on about this horrendous years weather! I'm not going to dwell on the fact that it's 11 C with a steady drizzle for a 3rd day running and that our weekend in Swaledale is ruined. I'll try and see the funny side of flattened bedraggled hay meadows, devoid of bees and butterflies. How we laugh about still being in jumpers and wearing gloves in mid July 😂

It's now clouded over in Edinburgh and there are some little bits of rain and drizzle around according to the last radar maps, but there is actually very little of that around.

Today is also much warmer than yesterday (albeit with only average temperatures) and it is currently around 18°C, so I have no real complaints about that.

Back to the usual summer fare down here... sunny, with a late burst of warmth meaning that I've had to wheel out the a/c again (it's 26C upstairs).
22.7, dew 12.6, the high so far being 22.9.

It ended up being quite a nice day here in Edinburgh and today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank is officially confirmed as 20.1°C which is even warmer than what was actually forecast for today.

Sunny, with just the odd bit of cloud, cool and fresh... a wonderful morning, and the last fresh-feeling one for a while.

14.0, dew 13.0, rising quickly, with the overnight low being 9.5 (the third sub-10C night of the month, it's unusual to have more than one these days).

Looking at the Wundermap, everyone else in the area is reporting 18s and 19s already, including the chap over the road... I reckon there's a lot of over-reading going on in the strong summer sunshine!

At least the mornings are now noticeably darker when I get up. Only five more days of this eternal twilight, then proper night returns. It also means it takes just that little bit longer now for solar heating to start - it's taken 5 weeks for sunrise to get 18 minutes later, but it'll only take two weeks to lose the next 18 minutes. 😁

The radar looks 'interesting' for this part of England. Good for the garden.

Very little in the way of rain is forecast for today if anything at all and since today is St. Swithin's Day, the Met Office clearly don't believe that the legend which goes along with that will apply here this year.

However, the matrix on the official page for that warning on the Met Office's site shows that although possible impacts from that are quite high, this is an event which is unlikely to actually happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if that is how it turned out, although it's not exactly likely to be bone dry for the next 40 days even here in Edinburgh.

At the moment, it's clouded over a bit, so I hope that you're not going to be bringing that cloud and drizzle with you into Edinburgh.🤣

Apart from that though, it's not too bad. The temperature here in Edinburgh is forecast to get up to around 21°C today and we're already at around 19°C as I write.

Unusual weather here - there's light rain (enough to wet the ground but not yet tip the gauge), but the odd thing is the temperature's been rising steadily as the rain falls! That's unusual, can't say I've noticed it happening before.
Before the rain it was 19.8, but it's now 20.9 and rising. The dewpoint is 16.5, so it feels pretty muggy.

EDIT: And once the rain stopped, the temperature started falling... down to 20.5 now. How strange, a warm shower.

The weather warning for heavy rain here was a little optimistic. It's rained but not a lot.
