Snowing now in Croydon...already a covering on all surfaces, including the road...0C, and we aren't due for the real stuff till after 11.00...
Lovely falling snow here in Chichester...folk out throwing snowballs! A rare treat for us coastal West Sussex folk...a real winter wonderland...not expecting it to last but I think tonight has produced more snow here than last year’s Beast from the East...then the snow was either just to the west or just to the east of us.

Dry here in Berkhamsted. If you want to get a quick overview of the situation across the south this Twitter thread I started is useful.
Radar & models don't tell the whole story, so if you're in the south can you please tweet your snow reports (inc approximate depth in cm) and any photos / video you've taken. It helps build a more complete picture of how the event is developing. Thanks in advance.— TheWeatherOutlook (@TWOweather) January 31, 2019

Started about 9:30 here in Richmond
Moderate snow for about 10 minutes to give a slight covering but now very light and intermittent
Moderate ''dry''snow - 1cm so far.
Could be quite a lot by dawn if it all moves through from South West.
1 cm anf snowing lightly. Not a big deal , but it's more than we got all last winter!
Quite steady snow as the train doors opened at Brookwood. Only an icing sugar dusting on the ground though.

Snow has pepped up here again - looking at the radar, it seems to be developing from nothing in the M4 corridor. Makes a change!
I estimate we have about 1.5cm on the ground so far.
Very decent here, and still coming down, judging by this picture. It's like daylight outside at the moment.
