Apparently they were also quarantined as well so they maybe decided why bother with protective clothing.

Dodgy google says that the cost of a hazmat suit is just $61, so I am surprised you haven't got one of them!

Just reading the BBC under article comments. The quality of many of them is absolutely dire. Could understand if it was the Fail trying to generate revenue through clicks but on the BBC it is beyond the pale. It reinforces my view that the British population is pretty thick! In comparison most of us here are a beacon of sanity.

Canada, Lebanon, Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain and Oman (possibly also Afghanistan) have all confirmed cases that have arrived from Iran. Supposedly Iran has 61 cases which sounds like complete bull. Reckon it’s well over a thousand.

Serious question for Quantum if you are around! What do you think about coach drivers not being given protective clothing when they drive repatriated Brits to confinement? There's a pic here:

People were getting rather rattled of anyone coughed near them

The economic impacts show how reliant we have become on the Far East - Primark is the latest company to announce problems and on the BBC 6-o-clock news bulletin, they were talking about toy retailers running short of supplied - outsourcing our manufacturing to the region was not such a good idea after all (iPhones and smartphones are affected, as will televisions and computers plus components):

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/business/primark-warns-of-clothing-shortages-from-coronavirus-0pgnwp6pg

"The owner of Primark has warned that the coronavirus could result in shortages of some clothing products if the production delays in China continue.

Associated British Foods (ABF), the conglomerate behind the fashion retailer, today became the latest multinational to reveal the disruption caused by the virus.

The FTSE 100 group said that “if delays to factory production are prolonged, the risk of supply shortages on some lines later this financial year increases”.

Dechra Pharmaceuticals, the FTSE 250 company, said alongside its half-year results that it has “sufficient inventory of Chinese-sourced materials to deal with near-term supply, however a prolonged period of interruption would lead to out of stocks”.

Meanwhile, Ascential, the exhibitions business, confirmed that it had postponed its Money 20/20 Asia conference in Singapore from March to August because of travel difficulties in the region.

There are concerns that in trying to prevent outbreaks authorities may go too far in the culling of wild animals that can carry disease.

“Some law professors have suggested ‘ecological killing’ of disease-transmitting wild animals, such as pangolins, hedgehogs, bats, snakes, and some insects,” Zhou said. “We believe lawmakers need to learn [more about] biodiversity before advising on the revisions to the law, or they’ll bring disaster.

6 more cases this morning in Bahrain and 3 more in Kuwait all from people coming back from Iran. Iran must have completely lost control , I imagine the conditions in Qom in particular are dire.
