 Back in Late january there was still time to plan major infrastructure accomodations (virtual HoC closure, partial border closures/travel bans, funds to support remote working e.c.t.)


The kinda stuff that takes months to actually work through the legal and logistical challenges to allow you to implement at short notice. Time we do not have because back in late january no one took this seriously enough.

Case in point.


Trump has just banned all flights from Europe except the UK for some reason.


 


This is the sort of short term panic that came as a result of long term complacency.

Good relationship, as expected, between handwashing culture and COVID rates. Germany seems to be the main exception having good hygiene.

Quite a swipe at the EU by Trump.

I sense a USA-UK trade deal is close given what we've seen from Trump tonight. Pressure mounting on the EU.

Tom Hanks and wife both have coronavirus. Am sure that i remember Trump saying coronavirus was all a big hoax. Be interesting to see if the below is true.
