It must be difficult, no, impossible to have any real idea how good the team one 'supports' is when the only time they are actually watched is when a game is on tv. Not a dig, just an observation. No, it was a dig I suppose πŸ˜‚ 😁 😝

Ah, the old wireless. Still the best way to get commentary of a game. Mike Ingham is so superior to the likes of Andy Gray, John Motson and the like, it's a no brainer πŸ‘

It's called being a football supporter. As you aren't one it's difficult to discuss it and get you to understand πŸ˜‚ 😝 I'll wait for someone like Simon to turn up πŸ‘

Come on SE you're not even trying now. Don't give up so easily. Let's try this one: For all the stick SKY get about how they handle the game and the money etc, I actually think they are good for the game. Let's face it, if it weren't for SKY you'd be redundant in this thread as far as being able to offer an opinion on a game is concerned πŸ˜‚ 😁 😝

If referees applied the laws to the letter few matches would finish with 11 on each side.  Personally I would have sent Rooney off for yet another foul mouthed tirade against the referee.   One sentence - yellow.  Follow-up sentence - second yellow.   That would improve players' attitudes towards the officials very quickly.... Vidic would have gone the same way...

GTW, I agree entirely. The problem is that as long a mouth all mightys like Sir AF have so much influence on the rules of the game due to their post match rants, it will never happen

Someone like Danny Haynes.

Here's Danny in action

Well you would expect me to come on here and have a pop at my lot for not 'getting even' with Newcastle after the 5-1 mauling at their place.

However, they bullied us yesterday and we were shocking, if anything our general play was worse than the first match. We created very little, went to the long ball too early, lacked passion and at times looked frightened. BUT, we got an equaliser in the 92nd minute when the dirty, filthy, dillusional mags thought they had the game wrapped up, it was priceless.

We are still 5 points clear of them as well

I know there were some other 'less important' games yesterday, what happened?
