Interesting from a frontline virologist in Germany:

Almost all infected people we interviewed (>100), and this applies to a good two thirds, described a loss of smell and taste lasting several days. It goes so far that a mother could not smell the full diaper of her child. Others could no longer smell their shampoo, and food began to taste bland. We cannot yet tell exactly when these symptoms will appear, but we believe a little later in the infection.

Diarrhea also occurred in our infected people in 30 percent of the cases, which is more common than previously thought.

Having just had a close relative spend time in intensive care and helped to full recovery from a life threatening condition by an absolutely fantastic team in the NHS, I find your comment above even worse than the usual garbage that come from your keyboard

For now, my work is going to keep the office open, but operate a 'flexible & sensible approach'. All staff with either a medical condition, one of their family has a medical condition or they're carers for the very young or old/vulnerable, then they've been told to work from home. Everyone else, it's up to them. The car park we rent is only for 'essential business users' but they're going to coordinate to ensure there's enough spaces for anyone to drive in & park so they don't have to use public transport.

I plan to work from home 2 or 3 days a week for now. This could well change as the situation develops further.

The schools closing will be a small complication, given their ages. I just hope schools maintain resources for years 11 & 13 in preparation for their GCSE's & A-levels.
