The reality is there is going to be NO vaccine available for a year to 18 months at the best and there is the possibility there won`t be one so we are going to have to learn to live with this virus,it isn`t going away its here to stay hopefully not as virulent as it presently is and the more we understand it the more we can reduce its spread and rate of infection.Keeping us in lockdown indefinatly is not an option,we have to a find a way out.

Just clapped on the door step.

It didn’t have quite the same emotional impact as last time but I still think it’s an incredible thing to do.

It may not be enough for a sneeze or a cough, if we’re talking about the same report.

That NHS applause gets me very emotional and I don’t know why. Just the fact that everyone comes out as one really gets to me 👍

I hate seeing this blame game. In these unprecedented times, all I can see is people coming and working together.

I don't know your political allegiance, but I'm struck how many Tory-leaning posters are sticking their heads up their arses and refusing to hold this cretinous government to account, whilst blesting about it not being the right time to play a blame game.

Watching Question Time. Hancock still enthusiastically optimistic, even a bit smug at times. But I admire his tenacity and the fact that being defeatist or glum isn't going to help. However the CEO of the Royal College of Nursing said all her feedback is it just isn't happening on the front line and the broken promises are causing mistrust. I can see both sides to an extent. Hancock said there is no problem with he amount of gear stored in the Warehouse in the NW. There is plenty of it. It's just the logistics of getting it to the hospitals. Amazon? Army Lorries? Second couriers? Is that part really that difficult? Perhaps it is, I don't know.

The Archbishop of York rather succinctly said that it might be more useful to promise less and deliver more.

What we're left with is the argument that the government should have geared up sooner but that doesn't remove the possibility that the supply chain would still have struggled.

Have to admit that I have never been one for self congratulation.

The Times has asked readers to upload pictures and text for "How we spend our leisure time during the lockdown. Share a picture of your proudest achievement with us using the form below".

I uploaded a picture of three empty wine bottles, with the caption: "Drinking three bottles of wine in one night".

I know there are no easy answers, but sometimes the government need to be upfront and honest - frank even. We are less than four months into a 5 year election cycle. Sometimes I think the tories are almost acting like they are campaigning in an election - except this is a national emergency.

My biggest concern with all of this is the lack of human compassion being over ridden by rules and lack of common sense. This has just been raised by several people on Question Time. We do not want to create a monster out of this that has a worse effect on humanity than the problem itself. The issue is people, and especially children being left to die alone, frightened. To me that is a zero option in a civilised society. There are ways round it. Simple ways. If it were my daughters I would smash the door down to see them rather than them die frightened and alone and every parent should do the same. It would have been perfectly possible to clear the room and allow the parent to enter in full PPE. Then to leave and re-isolate themselves. The risk could be made minimal. And if you told me my personal risk was increased if i were working there I would say I don't care, go ahead. In fact this should have been foreseen and a procedure put in place.

To be honest Rob that’s a good point I was in a queue outside a supermarket and several metres away some bloke was using a vapour it seemed to travel many metres in the wind it did make me realise to stay as far away as possible.
