Well I'm assuming Phil and anyone else on here who defended his comments will now change their tune.
Even if you think he was simple thinking aloud suggestions to help, even Trump has shot that idea down. Turns out he was being sarcastic, which is a cover only the brainwashed could possibly believe, and I don't think we've got any on TWO.
He's trying to save face and steer the embarrassment away from himself, and he's not even doing a good job of that.

He hasn't a clue about science, was just thinking out loud, offering something that he hoped would lead to a miraculous way forward and said it would be good to look at that. Did the public pick up on it or was it the media who hang on his every word?
Trump is very different being in the political world to say the least. He is direct, answers a question, yes and the truth can be 'a bit economical at times'! But, especially from people who scrutinise him day after day, day and night sometimes I am very surprised they don't understand the character, how he works, the controversial side, sometimes a sensible compassionate side as well. He is not your mainstream politician, he is a businessman through and through, but will call a spade a spade and that's what people don't like.
I am not changing my view on what he said. I thought he was just trying to be helpful, even though science isn't his field and is probably shocked (maybe not), upset (maybe not) and that his words were taken completly out of context and was just a mini debate there on screen between a few people. He kept saying we can look at that, look at that with the 'problem solving' that was going on, but that was just between him and his medical friends, it was obvious to see.
The mentions about saying this in front of a TV audience means they are going to start jabbing away, I would hope expect, probably certain in fact that those stupid enough to even think about doing it would not have the intelligence, the interest, be watching the broadcast or are so out of it they would not know what day of the week it was anyway.
No, it was just the media who highlighted and picked up on this, made this a headline to add to the list what a very very bad man he is. And to think the 'sensible' people here actually made something of it as well, very surprised.
