35.3c here as the top for the day, has dropped now. We're been usually a good few degrees shy of Heathrow, and the other recent hot spots over the last few days so interesting to see we have been higher today. 34.4c currently.

Great day to be cutting weed in the river, 'twas a hot one.

My weather station is not official in any way and no doubt reads a couple of degrees too high.

This afternoon my temperature record has been broken; 36.8C at 16:19, beating 36.4C recorded on 25th July 2019. However that might partly be down to the lack of wind to aspirate the sensor.

Hottest and most uncomfortable day of work I think I've ever had, in my stifling home office with a view of children splashing in a lovely cool paddling pool outside. Truly yucky today, but I think it only actually got to 33C here as LCY is our closest station.

Incidentally, anyone else noticed no Tweets from the Met Office or associated accounts regarding recorded highs this afternoon? Odd.

Lots of cloud with a few sprinkles of warm rain for most of the first part of the day. Even so, the temp was still just over 30C. Max appears to be 32.2C once the cloud cleared in the early afternoon. Currently 31.7C.

GFS gives 34C tops tomorrow, Arpège has one pixel of 36 near the South coast but otherwise 34. Both bring in the storms earlier than Arôme.
