I think somewhere will have got to 36c today either Heathrow, Kew or St James's Park
35.3c here as the top for the day, has dropped now. We're been usually a good few degrees shy of Heathrow, and the other recent hot spots over the last few days so interesting to see we have been higher today. 34.4c currently.
Great day to be cutting weed in the river, 'twas a hot one.
Hotting up across N England today, the easterly cooling effect has gone.
31c at Doncaster and York.
Just hit 28.0c here with hazy sunshine.

32C here now and can see some few clouds to the south of here. If any clouds goes above the house and sunny same time the temps will shoot up further only when it get shaded it drop back.
My weather station is not official in any way and no doubt reads a couple of degrees too high.
This afternoon my temperature record has been broken; 36.8C at 16:19, beating 36.4C recorded on 25th July 2019. However that might partly be down to the lack of wind to aspirate the sensor.
35C here now according to weather.com. I can see cumulus towers building to the east and NE.

The southerly drift turns sharply to the east more or less down the A30 line and that’s where I’d expect any storms to form from this point, drifting N with time.

Right. That's it. Over the heat now.

Come on mate, let’s stick together for one more roasting day. Then we can do storms!

Hottest and most uncomfortable day of work I think I've ever had, in my stifling home office with a view of children splashing in a lovely cool paddling pool outside. Truly yucky today, but I think it only actually got to 33C here as LCY is our closest station.

Incidentally, anyone else noticed no Tweets from the Met Office or associated accounts regarding recorded highs this afternoon? Odd.
Are they also suggesting England to win the next World Cup?! Lol.
