Spring Sun Winter Dread

A cool and dry summer month is something we rarely get these days. I remember Aug 2014 as such but the stats tell me it was actually quite wet.
Could this month be this rare unicorn ?
I have a feeling we'll end up getting topped up to above average by a heatwave later but all still to play for .

Hmm!  I’ve just checked the email I sent with my June guess.  I don’t know what I was thinking!  😂

Similar again here today. 2C 850s and presently 18C outside in very strong sunshine, and no doubt it'll continue to warm as long as the sun stays out. I would normally add 16C to 850s this time of year in sunny conditions, but it seems 18 would be a better estimate these days.

EDIT: As of yesterday, the mean is 15.1C here - fractionally above the 91-20 average.

If I was doing my CET figures now I'd have gone for 13.0.   😮

I can remember 1972. That was awful. I was having PE lessons outside on an athletics field at boarding school. We had to wear single layer PE shirts outside. It was awful and I can remember this clearly 52 years later.   😞

I'm pretty happy with my 14.5c guess atm. But even that will need a significant warm up last third of the month.

In the CET series, i.e. since 1659, we've only had 2 years where June has been cooler than May. They were 1749 and 1833 (no surprise there after by far the warmest May on record).

At the moment this June looks like a strong contender to be the 3rd.

Has anyone heard from Justin?

According to his profile, he's not been on TWO since 3rd June

I know he was having some health issues, so it's a little concerning. I hope he's OK.
