Last night was warmer than the preceding night with a minimum temperature of 12.4°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank.
This morning started off on bright and sunny note but you would have needed to have been up in the early hours of the morning to see that as it then didn't take long to cloud over again.
As I write, there is still a lot of cloud around but with some occasional sunny intervals coming through as well at times.
Meanwhile, the temperature here in Edinburgh is around 18°C as I write, but today is not forecast to be quite as warm as yesterday although the temperature is still predicted to reach around the 70°F mark here.
In addition to that, the latest forecasts are even indicating the possible chance of a bit of rain here in the latter part of the day so it looks as though this spell of weather is now about to come to an end here, a spell of weather which brought a much needed bit of warmth in the end, but which has failed to deliver the amounts of sunshine which we would typically expect to see from such a spell of weather during the summer, at least in this part of the world.😡
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
