Liverpool players release a statement in defence of Suarez and rumours abound that he will captain the side tonight! We shall see...

I'm glad he's banned as I can't stand the little sh*t. That vile cheating poor excuse for a human should be dumped somewhere in a desert and left there. I just hope as a Chelsea fan, that JT is also given the same, if not worse punishment, if its proven to be exactly as it looks on video.

How is Keano still the Blackburn manager after yesterday ?

and why is it Wolves always wake up at home around the 70 -85 minute mark, and have a duboious refereeing decision go against them in injury time ?

Wolves v Newcastle in October and v Norwich yesterday identical pattern

as for relegation odds - its certain that one of the NW teams (Wigan, Blackburn or Bolton) will go down - likely 2 teams - even though Bolton won yesterday -they could well be in the mix

Sunderland will escape relegation, and the other contenders would be Wolves / Norwich / Swansea

I reckon Norwich or Swansea due to their small squads might get players out through injury and be involved in a relegation dogfight

(Just look at Hull in 2008-09 - brilliant first half of the season, wretched second half and narrowly avoided the drop on the last day of the season)

The world's gone mad.

I can't believe Terry faces a criminal prosecution for calling someone names.

Having said that, anything bad that happens to Terry is a good thing in my book.

In order to prove racial motivation, it would surely have to be shown that Terry has never made any offensive comment to a white player.

Otherwise the charge is itself racially motivated.

(which personally I believe is the case, as it was with Suarez - had they been black themselves, or had they used different but equally offensive words towards a white player, I do not think any actions would have been taken.  Though I hope I am wrong!)

Meanwhile, Hansen starts digging a hole - for himself.

Kean will be sacked either tonight or tomorrow. You can stake everything you own on that.

The majority of the BBurn fans haven't covered themselves in glory though - they were appalling during the Bolton game - felt sorry for Kean and the players.

Tottenham 1 Chelsea 1, no complaints.  Third at Christmas and a real chance of Champions League Football next year.  Hasn't been this good for years.  Happy Christmas Spurs fans!!!

Not really much of a "Champions League" at all now, is it?
